Segundo virus para iPhone… de verdad y muy dañino

Después de la noticia de que había aparecido el primer virus para el iPhone, misma que no era más que una vil fotografía del extinto cantante de pop Rick Astley, ahora sí, ha surgido un germen malicioso y que puede dejar a los iPhones como zombis.

Según la empresa de seguridad Sophos, este nuevo worm, que prácticamente aprovecha la misma vulnerabilidad que el del cantante inglés, sólo se ha infectado teléfonos celulares a los cuales se les ha practicado el “jailbreak”.

Este gusano es capaz de actuar como un botnet, lo que permitiría a los ciberladrones, tener acceso remoto al smartphone y controlarlo a su antojo, obviamente, sin el permiso del usuario.

El virus se llama “Duh” o “Ikee.B” y lo que hace es conectarse a un servidor remoto en Lituania y aceptar todas las órdenes que le manden. Este gusano se ha expandido rápidamente habiéndose detectado casos en países tales como Holanda, Portugal, Australia, Austria y Hungría.

Así que para los amigos que le han pasado alguna cirugía a sus smatphones de Apple,ya ven lo que pasa…

Por cierto, Sophos los exhorta a cambiar la contraseña por defecto del terminal SSH de “alpine” a cualquier otra, eso si quieren evitar convertirse en los próximos habitantes de la Lietuvos Respublika (Lituania, en lituano).
